Assessed Coursework : group presentation

As part of the free elective module 'Management Skills', a group project was undertaken to present the skills and qualities required by a good manager. In order to do this, we decided to focus on a 'bad' manager, in this case, Ricky Gervais' character David Brent from the BBC comedy The Office.

Four scenarios were selected from the first series, and these were analysed to evaluate David's management technique. For each scenario, alternative approaches were suggested, based upon techniques and skills gathered from the sources detailed in the bibliography section, as well as personal experience.

As this was a group project, not all of the above is exclusively my own work, but added to give a complete overview of the project. The other group members were: Mike Dunbar, Andrew Williamson and Rebecca Johnson
